Software Training

Adobe Training

Specialized training for Adobe. This training provides educators with basic course set-up, student enrollment, using the collaborative tools, creating course content, using the assessment tools and managing an online class. The best practices of online learning are included in this course.

Moodle Training

Moodle is a free web-based course management system. This training provides educators with basic course set-up, student enrollment, using the collaborative tools, creating course content, using the assessment tools and managing an online class. The best practices of online learning are included in this course.

InterWrite Workspace

Training includes full demonstration of beginning, intermediate and advanced functionality. Curriculum integration of the devices will be provided and participants will be expected to construct a lesson using the InterWrite software.

InterWrite PRS

Training includes full demonstration of beginning, intermediate and advanced functionality. Curriculum integration of the devices will be provided and participants will be expected to construct a lesson using the PRS software.

Turning Point Training

Training includes full demonstration of beginning, intermediate and advanced functionality. Curriculum integration of the devices will be provided and participants will be expected to construct a lesson using the Turning Point software.

Google Applications for Educators

In this practical course teachers will be taught about the many tools that Google has to offer. Teachers will learn the basics of searching effectively to using Google's tools to incorporate technology into their classroom on a daily basis. Each application will have a direct correlation to its use in the classroom.

Blogs & Wiki Training

This course offers participants the basics of creating and using Blogs and Wikis in the classroom. This hands on course provides the opportunity to create both a Blog and Wiki. Additionally, multiple lesson ideas will be presented. A special focus will be internet safety as it pertains to the use of these medias in with K-12 students.

iPod

The focus of this course is to guide the participants through the setup and use of an iPod in the classroom. Training will include using iTunes as the primary software for managing the iPod. Specific lessons will be explored for multiple subject areas and grade levels. This is a great course to take prior to the Podcasting course.

Podcasting in the K-12 Classroom

The focus of this course is to guide the participants through the logistics of Podcasting. Podium is used as the primary software for this course and specific uses of Podcasting in the classroom are explored.

Other Software Topics: Smart, Texas Instruments, Promethean, Microsoft, Camtasia, etc.



Hardware Training

21 st Century Classroom

This course provides a full demonstration of how to use each component of their 21 st Century Classroom. Set-up and maintenance cheat sheets are provided. Training is customized to the customers' specific hardware models.

Deploying and Maintaining Interactive Boards and Pads

This course is designed for the technology administrator responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Interactive Board and Pad hardware and software. The training includes the best practices for large scale deployment of the software and on-going maintenance of the software updates. The training also includes the management of the boards/pads and best practices for maintaining this type of hardware. Training is customized to the specific model of the customer.

Digital Projector

The basic operation covered in this training includes power-on/off, menu features, adjustment of image from the computer and image adjustment. Advanced features include the use of still and password function.

Training is customized based on the customers brand and model.

Document Camera

Training will be provided for the document camera that included the physical set-up of the device, maintenance and use of the software. Basic user skills include focus, menu option and image capture features. Participants will receive training on using Digital Presenter software that is used on the computer for capturing and working with images .

Tablet PC

This course outlines basic steps for the tasks that you will do most often on your Tablet PC. You will: Set up and organize your Tablet for classroom use, learn to use the pen as a mouse, learn to use Windows Journal for note taking, use the Pen and Ink integration in Office 2003 applications, review the basics of OneNote, and review speech recognition.

Pedagogy Training

Freeware for Educators

Freeware Training will give teachers tools to prepare lessons and integrate more technology into their classrooms.  Additionally, it will give them resources to share with their students so that they may use freeware to study, research and learn from their home computers or in a computer lab at school.

Edugaming for Educators

Edugaming for Educators training will provide essential research to support the use of games in the classroom, hands on experience using games and an extensive list highly effective games. A special emphasis will be given to the use of the Wii and participants will have the opportunity to experience using this game system.

No Teacher Left Behind

This three day workshop is designed to help teachers learn a wide range of New Medias and include them in classroom instruction. Topics include blogs/wikis, freeware, Google, Moodle, classroom technologies, Podcasting and edutainment.
